PRIORAT

5th generation family winery of Grifoll Declara producing hand-picked, boutique wines from its family-owned 25 to100-year-old Carignan and Grenache vineyards located in the region of Priorat/Mountain Wines. All wines are organically harvested (chemical and pesticide free) and produced without the use of any modern machinery. At the winery’s helm is Roger Grifoll, enologist and winemaker of Grifoll Declara, who worked and perfectionated his wine-making techniques and skills in some of the world’s most renowned wineries.

RIOJA

Valserrano is a 5th generation family winery of De Simon family located in Rioja, on the limestone ridges of the Alavesa region. They only use fruit from their own vineyards and have rigorous standards in the cellars to create wines with elegance and pungency combined with the soft spicy allure that only well-made Tempranillo can offer. Their more than 200-year-old underground natural cellars provide ideal, constant conditions of temperature and humidity throughout the year. A “sustainable economy” for the conservation of the wine. 

RIBERA DEL DUERO

Ferratus, located in the heart of DO Ribera del Duero, is a family-run winery which represents the culmination of the Cuevas Jiménez family's vision to create top quality wines with personality, finesse and harmony. The winery was built to maintain the utmost respect for the environment, thus the natural flora of the land, as well as lavender and pine, surrounds its vineyards. The vineyards, of mainly Tempranillo, are some of the oldest in the region, with several more than 50 years of age. Ferratus is run on 100% renewable energy, allowing its sustainable growth.

RÍAS BAIXAS

Bodegas Terras Gauda was founded in 1990 and is located in the extreme southwest of the province of Pontevedra, in the O Rosal valley, bordering Portugal. The vineyards are situated in a privileged landscape close to the mouth of the Miño River on terraces and consisting of slate soil (metamorphic schist), which brings mineral notes to the wines and is unique to the granite soil predominant in the region. Premium Albariño grapes are wisely blended with autochthonous varieties such as Loureiro and Caiño Blanco, an heirloom white variety that the winery saved from extinction.

CAVA

Ricard Martinez (Rimarts) is a family-owned winery producing high-quality and ECO/organic-certified sparkling wine/cavas using the handcrafted method. Every bottle is hand riddled in pupitres with no use of machinery and manually disgorged by hand to ensure absolute freshness of the product. Their insightful craftsmanship, curated fruit, and patience make for brilliant vintage brut nature Cavas that balance punchy vibrance with elegant delicacy.

CÔTE DE PROVENCE

With its rich history, Château de la Martinette is one of the oldest domains (founded in 1620) of Lorgues in the Côtes de Provence region and is known for its wines of great finesse, freshness and elegance. The vineyards are planted on clay-limestone terroir and viticulture here is practiced through organic farming that respects the environment and preserves the biodiversity that surrounds the vines. A gravitational process from harvesting to bottling is chosen to bring out the best of its terroir while respecting the integrity of the local grapes used for its rosé wines such as Grenache, Shiraz, Cinsault, Rolle and Tibouren.

LALANDE-DE-POMEROL

Château Haut-Musset is a small estate of ten acres located in the most favorable location of AOC Lalandede-Pomerol in Bordeaux, it’s run by husband-and-wife team Veronique Abbadie and Jerome Aguirre. Veronique’s grandfather planted the vineyard. Jerome became the winemaker at several small, top-notch Pomerol estates including Le Gay and La Violette, where he fashioned many critically acclaimed wines. The soil of their estate, established in the Musset sector, is made up of gravel and sand on a limestone base and iron filth, which Lalande shares with Pomerol. Haut-Musset is one of the up-and-coming Bordeaux properties to keep any eye on.

SAINT-ÉMILION

Created in the late 18th century, the Bellefont-Belcier estate is perfectly situated on the south slopes of Saint-Laurent-des-Combes in the area of the appellation Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. The vineyard extends over 13.5 hectares in one piece. It is divided into three distinct areas: the limestone plateau, the South slope clay-limestone, the clayey-sandy parcels. Château Bellefont-Belcier originally belonged to a very powerful Bordeaux family: at the end of the 18th century, the Count Louis-François de Belcier had first founded the vineyard then, at the beginning of the 19th century, he build the Château which he named Bellefont, which means ‘‘beautiful fountain’’.

HAUT-MÉDOC

Since 1969 Vignobles Clément Fayat has been cultivating prestigious wines on three exceptional terroirs: Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé, Haut-Médoc and Pomerol. Château Aney, built in 1850, is situated in Cussac Fort Médoc, this left-bank château lies strategically between St-Julien and Margaux, at the epicenter of the great wines of the region where the terroir imparts exceptional quality and provides ideal growing condition. Château Clément-Pichon dates back to the 14th century and its vineyards lie on a fine terroir of sand and gravel planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. The wine is produced under the supervision of the world-famous oenologist Michel Rolland.

CÔTE RÔTIE

Located in Ampuis, the historical heart of the Côte Rôtie, Domaine Burgaud’s family-owned estate has 5 hectares of vineyards that produce premium Shiraz wines. The +40-year-old vineyards are planted on steep schist slopes of the Northern Rhône’s Côte-Rôtie and are responsible for just one wine, whose character is reflective of the changing vintage. With an artisanal approach, work on the steep slopes takes place manually, each vine is individually cared for over the growing season and a small amount of new oak is used in the élèvage. Each vine branch is visited more than 20 times for various actions: winter pruning, fastening, “appalage” and “fichage”. A small domaine, but one that crafts authentic and unique wines.

FAUGÈRES

Domaine Binet-Jacquet was established in 1999 with its vineyards located in the heart of the Faugères AOP in the Languedoc region of southern France. Viticulture at Binet-Jacquet is certified biodynamic and organic with all grapes being hand harvested. They make high-quality boutique wines from low-yielding bush vines planted in the rocky slate soils that are typical of the region. Their wines have a distinct freshness and vitality, particularly for this warm region. This is in part due to the fairly high altitudes of around 400 meters of their vines and the cool night-time temperatures, which gives the wines a distinctive liveliness and taste of their schistous, mineral soils. Their total annual production is only 30,000 bottles all labels combined.

ALSACE

Founded in the late 19th century, Meyer-Fonné is a 3rd generation family-winery located in the village of Katzenthal, Alsace, which is known for its distinctive granite soils. Today run by Felix Meyer who is considered a rising star in Alsace for his evident instinct for his craft and organic farming. Meyer is a master at the art of blending and astutely applies this skill in mixing the wine from various parcels into complex, balanced cuvées. He also believes in raising his wines on fine lees in large, older foudres, as was the tradition in Alsace. All of Meyer’s bottlings are characterized by stunning aromatics and a signature backbone of minerality and nerve.

CAHORS

Valérie Courrèges is a young and dynamic winemaker who formerly worked at Château Lafite in Bordeaux and firmly believes in organic and biodynamic farming. Valérie’s ambition in Cahors is to make wines that would excite her grandfather: pure, digestible and firmly rooted in the local red-clay terroir. Not as coarse as the Cahors of yore, yet also steering clear of the oaky blandness of Argentine-inspired producers. Courreges lets indigenous yeasts ferment destemmed but uncrushed grapes in small concrete vats, after which the wines age in oak, concrete tanks and clay pots. Before bottling the wines are minimally sulphured and neither fined nor filtered, giving them a beautifully grainy, open and lively texture.

BURGUNDY

One of the finest producers in Chablis, Domaine Charly Nicolle is a 7 th generation family-winery that was created with less than one hectare in 1979 by Robert Nicolle, who’s winemaking family history traces back to Fleys in the late 19th century. In 1999, they were joined by their son Charly, who had just graduated from the oenological school of Beaune. Today, Charly is officially in charge of the domaine. The vineyards are located on ancient soils with hidden ocean shells and fossils which besides the limestone and clay create highly mineral driven wines. The vinification is done on fine lees in stainless steel tanks and 500 liter oak barrels, which produces a unique wine style that is both fresh and vibrant, but also rich on the palate.

CHAMPAGNE

Thibaud Brocard is the fifth generation of Champagne Brocard Pierre to work his family vineyards near the village of Celles-sur-Ource in the Seine river valley, in the area of the Côte des Bar. Brocard Pierre produces handmade, terroir-focussed wines with great transparency and electricity, without the aid of chemicals or the winemaking sleight-of-hand. Thibaud uses organic, biodynamic, and regenerative farming practices in the vineyards, which are integrated and in harmony with the biologically diverse, forested environment of Côte des Bar. His Champagnes are from single parcels and grape varieties that are vinified with native yeasts which in conjunction with its long lees-aging in bottle creates an exceptional quality-to-value ratio

YARRA VALLEY

Soumah, owned by the Butcher family, is an award-winning, boutique winery located in the Warramate foothills of they Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley cool climate focus allows Soumah to specialise in wine styles and varieties typical of northern Italy as well as south-eastern France, including varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Viognier. The soils of the vineyards are grey, sandy-clay loams with broken sandstone, well-drained and infertile, which limits the vigor of the vines. Brett Butcher has made Soumah's priorities crystal clear: emphasizing vineyard site, nurturing viticulture and quality over quality.

CÔTE DE BEAUNE

CÔTE DE BEAUNE, BURGUNDY, FRANCE-02.png

Chapuis & Chapuis’ family winery is run by brothers Romain and Jean-Guillaume and is located in Pommard. They are producing boutique (organic/natural) wines from their own family vineyards. Romain had the luxury of learning under natural wine-star Philippe Pacalet. The grapes are fermented on natural yeasts, without any additives, with only a small amount of sulfites added before bottling. They all see relatively short ageing in barrels and are not fined/filtered. The brothers are making some of the most exciting and minimal intervention wines in the region and are quickly becoming rising stars in Burgundy.

OUR WINERIES

BAROLO

A rising star in the southern reaches of the Barolo zone, Diego Conterno and his son, Stefano, craft elegant, lively Nebbiolo wines in Monforte d’Alba. After two decades of crafting bold wines at Conterno-Fantino, Diego felt it was time for him to explore a more natural expression of Nebbiolo. He left to start his own winery in 2000, bringing with him from his family’s holdings a nearly five-acre plot in ‘Ginestra,’ unquestionably Monforte’s top cru. In 2010, his son Stefano joined the estate, adding a new energy and focus to its already growing reputation for quality in Monforte. Today they produce potent yet utterly suave wines in perfume and flavor, which across the board are made naturally, fermented on indigenous yeasts in neutral cement tanks and aged in traditional large oak barrels. All vines are cared for organically.

BARBARESCO

Francone was founded in Neive in 1964, a stone’s throw from Barbaresco in the rolling hills of the Langhe. Today the brothers Marco and Fabrizio Francone, with the invaluable help of dad Mauro, manage the vineyards and the winery. At Francone each grape variety is individually selected as it is suited to each vineyard dependent on position, altitude and terrain. This allows them to produce an extensive range of quality wines in limited quantities. Francone wines are both elegant and drinkable and not solely full-bodied and structured. This is not a “numbers” story of hectares and bottles for them but of the sustainable work  in the vineyards by hand, from the winter pruning to the harvest. Quality over quantity.

CHIANTI

Villa Saletta’s history can be traced back to 980AD, with the first written account of the estate’s winemaking. Today Villa Saletta is owned by the Hands-family and represents one of the most exciting winery projects in Tuscany. Under the stewardship of winemaker David Landini, formerly Antinori, the winery’s revitalization, along with the diversity of the terroir and an ideal climate, has allowed Villa Saletta to produce a suite of award-winning, top-quality Tuscan wines. Everything at Villa Saletta is done in the pursuit of perfect balance – in the soil, in the environment and in the yield. A perfect balance which along with their high care for biodiversity and sustainable wine-making results in wines that amaze for their finesse and elegance.

MONTALCINO

MONTALCINO, TUSCANY, ITALY-01.png

After working with some of Montalcino’s most renowned estates for decades as the director of agronomy and winemaking, in 1989 Enzo Tiezzi decided to take on the challenge of running his own estate. Dedicated to preserving the tradition of Sangiovese da Brunello, Tiezzi continues to make his wines in the most classical way, with long macerations in the large upright casks and aging only in 10 to 40 hectoliter Slavonian-oak casks. The resulting wines are ripe and silky with pure fruit and rich, rustic and earthy qualities. The vineyards sit at a height of 500 meters above sea level, an exceptional altitude for Montalcino, resulting in gorgeous aromatics. Only about 2000 cases total of Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino combined are organically produced each year at this tiny boutique estate.

RIAS BAIXAS

Xandomel Albariño was born in 2020 as the partnership between art and wine, and with the firm intention of making Albariño known beyond the Galician borders. A wine made for enjoyment, which seeks to unite art with viticulture, and to represent in its essence part of the Galician character that defines it. The grapes are grown sustainably and hand picked every year, while also destemmed and crushed, with prior cold maceration to obtain much more aromatic musts. The vines grow in an old, decomposed granite soil near the sea, where Xandomel Albariño thrives thanks to the Atlantic ocean and the climate which is characterized by its frequent rainfall and mild temperatures. The climate ensures that the vines obtain the necessary level of humidity to help them create an exceptionally flavorful, fresh and vibrant wine.

BORDEAUX

BORDEAUX, FRANCE-01.png

Situated in the Sauve Majeure region of France and in the shadow of an 11th century Benedictine abbey, the Latorse vineyards have been perpetuating both family tradition and innovation for over fifty years. This land is today cultivated sustainably by the fourth generation of Latorse winemakers. The vineyard of Riot became the first Entre Deux Mers estate of Sauvignon Blanc in the region. With 25 and 40 years of age and ripen on terroir that due to its location is made up of siliceous clay-like soil with deposits of limestone.

NONTHABURI

Kosapan Distillery is a maker of Thai craft spirits located just outside of Bangkok. Founded by a group of passionate friends who share their beliefs in an amalgamation of the French art of traditional distillery with Thai natural treasures. All fruits and botanicals are sustainably and ethically sourced from a handful of strictly selected organic growers. At Kosapan Distillery everything is carefully handcrafted from the start to finish. From harvesting to peeling the fruits for mash and fermentation, the alcohol is then double or tripledistilled by hand in traditional French copper alembic stills and aged in limited batches.
